Bought a used 2022 Iron in May with 1,256 miles on it. Loving it so far. My first HD. Oh and in the video, HD salesman did a no-no. The white van waiting to make a U-turn had the right of way and he just pulled right on out. This happens where I live daily and I asked a cop once.

it might sound stupid to u guys but what if lets say hypothetically i bought a monster and changed the belt with a chain timing chain specifically what stops me and doesnt it make more sense ?

The sportster iron 883 is very basic, outdated, crude, rough, rugged and a motorcycle of the bygone era. In spite of it, people loves it. This motorcycle will be relevant for all eternity…

Good looking bike, but looks so open, doesn't the air in the chest get unconfortable in a ....let's say a 100 mile ride?

The canceling turns are a kicker, eh? Other than maintenance and a few bulbs here and there, my only repair was on my 86 sporty was a leaking brake sender unit. My other 4 had no repairs at all. Very reliable machines, indeedy. My only real complaint is the bugs get in my remaining teeth. I have a 1200 iron but I would not hesitate to add another 883 to my mix

The last part you was working on with with the screw that you wrote on with sharpee.. that’s the air/fuel adjustment screw? Cause I thought the air/fuel screw was the thing beside it with the rubber tube attached going into the side of carb

I guess you were lucky that the sales guy was willing to take the time to go out with you at all, but I thought he was pretty condescending and if they had told me "guide or no ride" then I would have told them to piss off. I've been on lots of test rides and also went to those big "ride days" that go around the dealerships every year and I never once had to ride with an employee. I bought a 2009 Sportster 1200 Custom new and was hooked, still riding it daily to work.

The dirty part of the air filter is on the inside. The outside pleats are the cleanside of the filter. It's the opposite of how it is on most cars.

I know this is a old video but I emailed dynojet and asked about the pilot jet I tried a 40 & 42 and 40 was ok 42 I was having troubles my with my machine. So I asked and they responded that they don’t mention the pilot in the instructions because it is supposed to stay stock.

Mate, my 696 doesnt self start but shows all the lights on the dash but by jumpstarting it start. Do you think thats the battery issue?

I own a 2017.. Just a really fun bike. No doubt. These 883's are a "real" motorcycle. You get up to 65-70 you feel it. I've found that these are best for curvy back roads at 45.. Definitely fun..

It’s honestly, like an old school bike. Something from a bygone era when bikes were just bikes and 50hp was just normal. Now it can be modified to almost anything you want with an unending supply of aftermarket support. A vast array of Hammer performance modifications can take you past 120hp if so desired. Or just a fun, casual, old school cruiser that looks sharp, handles good, and still turns lots of heads. I ride mine with a small windscreen, a sissy bar, passenger pillion, swing arm bag, and stock engine and pipes and still get tons of compliments and looks everywhere I go. Especially when I’m all decked out in my Harley gear. Fun bike for sure.

Good review brother. If we can remember bikes are purpose built and get two or three we'll all be better off. It's a decent bike with a tach in the digital display. Has self cancelling blinkers somewhat inexpensive and people love the Iron
